Hwy 120E is now closed as are the day use areas at South Tufa and Navy Beach on the shores of Mono Lake. The fire is currently 900 acres. A burn-out operation was performed this morning from Highway 120E to control the N flank of the fire.
Primarily sagebrush with some scattered Jeffrey Pine.
