Significant moisture received on fire area today.

Remaining evacuation orders have been lifted for residents, public access to entire fire area will be limited. Two UXO [unexploded ordinance] instances were identified and diffused by Air Force EOD team. Burned Area Emergency Rehab team personnel arrived on incident and have developed a plan to be implemented in the next operational period.

Residences remain evacuated in Rose Canyon, Hi Country Estates and Majestic (~732 homes). All other evacuations have been lifted. An evacuation site has been set up at Herriman High School at 11917 S. 6000 West. The site was originally established at Fort Herriman Middle School but had to be moved when the fire got too close.

Herriman City Mayor Josh Mills and Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon have signed a declaration of State of Emergency. Gov. Gary Herbert is also on site. Officials are asking residents in Salt Lake County to stay off their cell phones so emergency information can be transmitted. Residents are asked not to call 911, but to instead call Herriman City Hall at 801-446-5323.

Camp Williams is a National Guard Training Site operated by the Utah Army National Guard. It is located 26 miles south of Salt Lake City. It consists of 28,000 acres of training areas and has a billeting capacity of 2,800 troops. The main training site for the UTNG, including artillery, engineers, academies and other units. Adjacent to large metropolitan areas — Salt Lake City and Provo — the area consists of semi-desert and sage steppe [here].
