Crews were able to contain two spot fires at the junction of Aspen Creek and Black Canyon. If we can limited additional spotting for the next 48 hrs., fire spread to the North and East should be checked. Aggressive initial attack of the two spot fires by Type 1 Crews supported by tanker and helicopter water drops appear to have limited the spread of the spot fires from 6/09/10.

Fire growth from medium smoke to 150 acres in 3 hour timeframe. Today all resource left the fire line due to rapid growth of the fire. Fire estimated to be up to 400 acres. Exact fire size unknown, no personnel on scene.
