Location: 20 miles NW of Entiat, 10 miles W of Hollywood Beach on Lake Chelan, Chelan Co. WA
Specific Location: Okanogan-Wenatchee NF, Brennegan Creek above Preston Falls on the Entiat River, Lat 47° 55´ 27″, Lon 120° 24´ 59″

Cause: Escaped prescribed fire

The fire crossed the contingency boundary in the burn plan and has been converted to a wildfire. The Preston Creek road system has been closed to the public.
Fire is burning actively in shrub areas where wind and slope align. Single tree torching and active backing and flanking fire have been observed.
Planned Actions: Monitor the incident with aircraft as needed. Evaluate need for additional action if significant weather change occurs.
