Remapped. Fire is currently holding within fire containment lines. Full containment expected July 25, 2009.
State highway 97 is currently open. Old State Highway 97 has been reopened to the public but with reduced speeds through the fire area. The Union Pacific Railroad is also open but with reduced speeds from Macdoel to Weed due to fire activity. Pacific Power energy lines have been restored to full service.

28 homes threatened. Highway 97 is under traffic escort restrictions due to smoke. Type 2 IMT requested. Fire had been reported at 25% contained, 1,000 acres Monday morning, but that containment dropped as the fire continued to grow. Burning on both sides of Hwy 97. The Union Pacific Railroad is closed due to fire activity.
