Record Snow Fall In Ohio

by Julie Kay Smithson

We are noticing a decided absence of “global warming”. In fact, we’ve just had the most snow ever recorded in a 24-hour period in this part of Ohio, 15.4 inches, PLUS the most snow ever recorded here in one snowstorm, 21.4 inches.

There are some amazing drifts, some of them four to five feet high, and many of them on the local roads. Fifteen counties, including my own, Madison County, are under Level 3, which means the roads are closed to all but emergency personnel. Another 18 counties are Level 2, for a total of 33 counties, in the middle of Ohio that got slam-dunked by Ole Man Winter!

Many thanks to the dedicated weather guys at Channel 10 in Columbus, Ohio: Mike Davis, Carlos Gonzales, Chris Bradley, and Brandon Roux, for their peerless coverage of this storm, and for all the nameless snowplow operators, EMTs, firefighters, dispatchers, and others who keep vital services there for us and who often go unappreciated and unthanked. With over 2,000 accidents reported the Ohio Highway Patrol — and this doesn’t count all the accidents on other than state or interstate highways — there was just one fatality.

Thank God we usually don’t need such folks, but knowing they are there, no matter the weather, means a lot.

Thanks to the countless Good Samaritans who help people during these times, then go on their way, unsung, but heroes nonetheless.

Thanks to the great neighbors who pitch in and help one another during such times, doing it without complaint, with cheerfulness. Those of us blessed to have such neighbors are rich beyond measure.

I encourage everyone far and sundry to please help through your annual donations to support Julie Smithson’s sacrifice to everyone throughout this nation regarding property rights and wildlife issues as well as information designed to rein in our out-of-control govt.

I know Julie very well and can testify to her dedication and long hours of labor every day to get us the info we all need to wage war against our adversaries. Knowledge is power… and she finds it and gets it to us every day, 24/7. Please help! Julie’s site:

Thank you, Bud, but while you and a few others continue faithfully supporting my efforts, most don’t. Like our Constitutional Republic, the choice is simple: either protect and defend it or lose it. My efforts are eager and dedicated, but Wiggles Blue Heeler and I still require nourishment and things like heat / A/C, etc. It would be very nice to hear from folks that appreciate these efforts and are willing to also support them!

Financial support is crucial. Sites like this one, Julie’s Property Rights Research, and Bud’s Hunter’s Alert do not sell advertisements. We maintain our independence that way, and our freedom to post the truth as we find it.

But there is no free lunch. If you gain any benefit from our efforts, and you do whether you know it or not, then you should chip in.

We all have clearly stated paths to assist you in making your donation. So go ahead and do the right thing, for your own sake as well as ours.
