A level 2 evacuation order is in place for residences west of Canyon Road that are accessed from Canyon Road between the Silva Cutoff Road and Lyle Snowden Road. A level 2 evacuation order is also in place for residences between Highway 142, Centerville Highway and Dillacourt Canyon. A level 3 evacuation order is in place for residences between Canyon Road and Highway 142 approximately 1 mile north of Lyle and south of a line drawn from the Shady Lane Road to the mouth of Dilcourt Canyon. Washington Team 2 assumed command of the complex at 0800 this morning after local forces were able to construct fireline on the west side of the fire. A state mobilization was declared. A Level 3 evacuation order was issued by the sheriff’s office for residences in the vicinity of the Canyon Rd. A level 2 evacuation order was issued for residences further west to the Lyle-Snowden Rd and east along the Centerville Hwy to Hartland Rd. One hay barn and two out-buildings were lost last night. Retardant and heavy helicopters were used yesterday and today to protect residences and slow the fire spread. The following road closures are in effect: Highway 142 was closed between mp .25 and mp 10; Fisher Hill Rd between the intersection of Hwy 142 and the Johnson Rd; and Canyon Rd between the Lyle-Snowden Rd and the Silva-cutoff.
Today the fire continues to push the northwest and northeast corners due to wind and topography, requiring retardant to slow growth. There was active fire behavior throughout the night.
