Transitioned from Type 4-IC to John Wells Type 3 Team. Suppression aided by air support. Strong winds are hampering containment. Wind driven (8 to 17mph winds, gusting to 35mph).

The fire is along the Lower Deschutes River, ~8 mi. N of Beavertail Recreation Site.
