Republican Whip Press Office, Mar 11, 2008 [here]

WASHINGTON – House Republican Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.) announced today that Rep. Thelma Drake (Va.), with the backing of Republican leadership, will introduce a discharge petition on bipartisan border enforcement legislation called the Secure America Through Verification and Enforcement (SAVE) Act:

“Our national and economic security is threatened by our outdated immigration enforcement laws and our porous borders. For far too long, the House Democratic Leadership has actively blocked sound bipartisan legislation addressing something that should be uncontroversial, like border security, from coming to a vote.

“We learned early on this year that the best way to pass legislation for the good of the American people is by forming a bipartisan consensus. The SAVE Act – with more than 140 cosponsors – is the type of bill that not only a broad swath of Members can support, but more importantly the type of legislation our constituents want enacted. … [more]

If it’s immigration, it’s not illegal. If it’s illegal, it’s invasion.

“Border Security” appears to be not only an oxymoron, when run by those in Washington, D.C., but also an Election Year leverage tool to play in order to gain votes. Election year promises are often — usually? — empty promises. Where were these “caring” legislators when Congressman Tom Tancredo asked and then begged them to come to the border and see for themselves what was happening to property rights and American sovereignty there? They didn’t care then and it’s probable that they don’t care now.

The trash and filth, which contaminate private property and kill animals, both domestic and wild, when they ingest plastic and other discarded items, is obscene. Not a single resident of Washington, D.C., would tolerate such things happening on their own private property for one nanosecond!

No piece of legislation can Band-Aid a criminal intent to erase our borders and force upon us a North American Union, or NAU. Congress is working to put in place the NAU and erase both our borders and our freedom/property rights, yet still it blithely pretends to care about “porous borders.” The very people charged with protecting America’s sovereignty are often the same ones that hire illegal invaders in order to increase their profits: at the expense of US. Truly, the Emperor has no clothes.

Call any member of Congress at this number and tell them you know what’s wrong and tell them to fix it NOW, before you speak with your vote this November: 202-224-3121.
